The Unexplained genetic Expression (UGE) was first recorded in 2011, when human mothers brought children to the world that looked like elves or dwarves. The medical profession designated these children UGE babies, and many parents feared these children.
It could not be prevented however that UGE children were exposed to much hostility and discrimination, which became worse once Goblinization began. In particular, the Japanese reacted to metahumans the most harshly, as well as the Alamos 20k.
