With its immense complex of fields and greenhouses, Petrowski Farm is one of the largest in Seattle. It is also one of the most heavily fortified. Over the years, the Rodzina Petrowski has refused to let volcanic dust, fires or squatters interfere with cultivation of their land. For four generations, the Petrowskis have been independent farmers selling most of their produce in the Pike Place Farmer's Market in downtown Seattle.
